Logitech g430 gaming headset no audio1/12/2024 ![]() I just don't really know what to look for. Maybe something more expensive like the ASTRO A40 TR would be a good choice? The Headsets that seem interesting to me right now are the Logitech G433 and the Logitech G935, but since both of those are Logitech, I might just have the same problems as with the G432. Is sidetone a common feature for gaming headsets? Can anyone recommend me a headset with that feature? But this doesn't seem to be a feature that is beeing advertised, so it's hard to look for it and to be sure that the headset has it. Now my Problem is: I want to find a Gaming Headset that has sidetone enabled all the time, or that at least gives me the option to enable it all the time. The noise-cancelling boom mic enables clear communication with your teammates. ![]() The Sidetone is not always activated, it only activates when an application actually uses the mic.Īnd after some googling, it seems that the second point applies to several, if not all "newer" Logitech headsets and there are more people like me who have this problem and don't like this. Intensify your game audio with this Logitech G430 981-000536 over-the-ear headset that features Dolby 7.1 surround to ensure an immersive soundscape. The quality of the sidetone channel is somehow noticeably bad.Ģ. Sadly this is not the case, I don't like some minor things about it but the 2 big ones are:ġ. I didn't like it at first but I've just gotten used to it and actually like it very much now.Īs my G430 broke recently and since I could not find it anymore for a reasonable price, I just bought the G432, thinking it would be pretty much the same headset, just sligthly updated. I tried different headsets and they all seem to pressure my left ear more than my right ear, and in the case of the G430, the sound is louder on the left (not a software/USB sound card problem, I tried connecting it to the 3. This means whenever the Headset was plugged in and it wasn't muted via the slider on the cable, I could hear myself. Hey, I bought the Logitech G430 surround headsets, and Im having a problem with them. I used to have the Logitech G430 and I was extremely happy with it, the sound, ergonomics and mic quality were good enough for me, the price very cheap at ~45€ and it had permanently sidechannel enabled. So that isn't going to fix the issue, either.Īre there any auxiliary programs I can pick up that will give my microphone a bit of an extra boost (preferably without upping the gain and causing a grating white noise) or any settings I can tweak on my PC that will help my mic be more sensitive?ĭescription: Speakers (2- High Definition Audio Device) But I'm yet to come across a successful fix that I can apply to my PC.Īnd as a heads up, all my drivers are up-to date. I googled this and apparently the G430 is notorious for its poor microphone sensitivity, as many people have reported it. It's gotten to the point where the majority of my Shadowplay recordings are unusable due to the dissonance between my voice, the voices of people in the call, and the game sounds. I currently have my gain at 25% (any lower and nobody can hear me at all) and even that seems to generate white noise while not giving my voice much of a boost at all. Not to mention the awful white-noise that the mic gain generates. Initially I fixed this by upping my microphone gain boost in my sound settings, but even at maximum gain, the Skype voices completely drown out mine when picked up by Shadowplay. I've also had my friends report problems with hearing me on occasion in the past. When I watch the videos back, however, my own voice is almost inaudible due to how quiet it is. But recently I started using Shadowplay to record play sessions with my friends wherein we all share a Skype call. Like the title states, I'm using a pair of Logitech G430 headphones, and have been for the last year or so.
